Sometimes looking your best can cost a little too much due to all of the lotions and potions that we are told the we need in order to look fresh faced and glamorous on a daily basis. We have found some tips and tricks that people have found to make you even more beautiful without spending your hard earned wages that we hope you will find useful.
Or first tip is one which we have all been told a million times but this only shows how important it is. Drink lots of water. Water not only hydrates you but also makes your skin look fresh and bright plus can also help to lessen the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles under your eyes. Alongside these visual benefits, drinking water will boost your immune system and flush out toxins which will leave you feeling healthier overall.
The occasional visit to a beautician is something that a lot of people look forward to and there is no need to stop making these appointments. However if you are making frequent visits it may be time to cut down a bit as treatments are expensive and the amount spent can quickly add up. Substitute a couple of these visits for a home spa to save yourself some money. You can buy face packs at a low price which are perfect to use after a face steam. Then follow up with moisturiser for a DIY facial. You could invite friends over too and make a social event of it with the addition of manicures and pedicures too!
Puffy eyes are a beauty problem that we probably all get sometimes; especially after a bad night’s sleep. Instead of splashing out on expensive eye creams to combat the puffiness there are a number of home remedies which you could try. Firstly, press the back of a cold spoon to your eye, it sounds weird but people swear by it and you will always have a spoon in the house! Alternatively you could try putting either teabags or cucumber slices over your eyes. These are also known to reduce eye puffiness and make eyes appear brighter.
For both hair and beauty treatments you could try going to your local beauty college. They often need people who are happy for them to test their skills on and you will pay a lot less than you would at a salon or hairdressers. For hair styling you could also try to find a mobile hairdresser who will come to your home as they are often cheaper than going to a salon. You can also use shop bought hair masks instead of forking out for expensive hair treatments to save a bit more money.
We have also found a few tips for making your beauty products last longer and saving you money in the long run. For example, applying body lotion straight after a shower will make it more effective and you will not need to use as much, rinsing your razor in ice cold water after use will mean you can get more uses out of it and warming your mascara tube with your hands or a hairdryer will allow you to get a few more applications out of it!
Our last tip for an all over healthier glow is to exercise frequently. Walk, run or cycle your way to a healthier body and fresher complexion without spending a fortune at the gym or on expensive home gym equipment. This also gives you an excuse to get out in the sun when Spring finally arrives!
We hope that you have found at least one of these tips helpful enough to add to your beauty regime. We would love to hear your beauty money saving tips; you can share them with us on twitter using #valourmoneysaving and we will retweet our favourites!
